Welcome to our Events Page. The Museum features a Civil War themed exhibit each February, a Summer exhibit in May, and a Holiday exhibit in November, with special events that coordiante with each exhibit. Special events are planned throughout the year (especially with Pip the Mouse) so please check back often.
"Pip the Mouse at the Great Allentown Fair"

Visit Pip and the Museum staff and volunteers att he Museum's booth at the bottom of the second ramp in the Farmer's Market Building. We will have several activities, including history trivia, playing colonial games and our "Save the Liberty Bell" board game. See us Aug. 31, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sept 1-3, 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., September 4-6, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Please note that all times are subject to change without notice.
"48th Annual Liberty Bell Museum Dinner Meeting and Program"
Friday, September 17, 2010, 5:30 p.m.
Join us for a night of festivities celebrating the Liberty Bell Museum. Dinner at 6:00 p.m. (reservations required) followed by the annual meeting and the presentation of the Liberty Bell Museum Awards. A program will follow. Encore Performances of
John Adams Pays a Call to James Allen: A Revolutionary Tale of the Lehigh Valley
Sat., Sept. 18, 7:30 p.m. and Sun., Sept. 19, 2:00 p.m.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of the original performance, join us for two encore performances of an historical playlet written by George Miller and Peter Wrenn-Meleck and featuring local actors and historians, Frank A. Whelan, Joshua A. Fink and Gerald Still. The playlet, directed by George Miller, presents a dialogue between Founding Father, John Adams, and Allentown son, James Allen, who learned more toward sympathizing with the British, as it might have occurred at Trout Hall in November of 1777. Pip at Mayfair's Hamilton Street Mile
Thursday, September 23, 2010, 5:15 p.m.
17th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown- See Pip compete with our Lehigh Valley Mascots in the Mascot 100 yard Dash, which is the opening event for various different races down Hamilton Street between 5:20 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The festivities begin at 17th and Hamilton Streets and ends between 9th and 8th Streets on Hamilton. Join in the festivities in downtown Allentown.

Colonial Saturday with Pip the Mouse - Colonial Schooldays with
Reading, Writing and Arithmetic
Saturday, September 25, 2010, 10:00 a.m.
Join Pip the Mouse and Joan Kneiss from the Allentown Public Library. Children will learn about colonial schooldays, including writing with a quill pen and counting in colonial times. Mrs. Kneiss, Children’s Librarian will read a portion of Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes (children will receive a copy at the event.) We will end the day with refreshments and the perennial favorite, Make Your Own Ice Cream. (A Follow-up book discussion will be held at the Library; see below.) Sundays @ the Museum - Maestro Winds Woodwind Ensemble Colonial Concert
Under the direction of friend of the Museum, Karen El-Chaar, this concert will feature music from the colonial period played by this woodwind ensemble. Learn about the instruments in the ensemble and colonial music and visit with "Pip the Colonial Mouse." The program will end with light refreshments. "Ghost Stories of the Lehigh Valley" with Charles Adams III

Join us for a haunting good time with the area’s premier ghost story expert, Charlie Adams of Berks County, as he relates ghost stories of the Lehigh Valley. There is even a tale in which the Museum is featured. After the program, Mr. Adams will sign copies of his books, including Volumes 1 and 2 of "Ghost Stories of the Lehigh Valley." "An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe: Quoth the Raven, Nevermore and Other Writings"

Join us for an evening’s entertainments as historian Joshua A. Fink portrays the master of the macabre and presents two of his well known short stories and three of his poems, including The Raven.
